Direct Energy Donates $100,000 to American Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey Relief

HOUSTON  – As Houston continues to recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey, donations continue to pour in. Direct Energy recently presented the American Red Cross with a check for $100,000 in donations for Hurricane Harvey Relief.

Half of the amount was raised by employees and through a public campaign that included weeks of radio commercials, with Direct Energy matching up to $50,000.

The check was presented by Direct Energy External Affairs Vice President Jessica Mahaffey to the interim head of the American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast Region, Josett Valdez. For more information, go to the Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast blog.
