Recently Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® was named as a 2017 Best Places to Work, and the 12 employees who work there couldn’t be prouder. “It takes hard work to be place to work!” said Matt Black, general manager of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in St. Lucie. “We focused on three things: training in all areas of the business for the entire team, a generous benefits package, and employee retention. And it’s paying off.” Participating companies were required to answer a 40-question survey about their organization to apply for the Best Places to Work award. Every company receives a detailed personalized report documenting the results of the survey and samples of some of the best practices used in St. Lucie County to attract and retain their workforce. This program is free to all St. Lucie County employers. The St. Lucie County Human Resource Association commissioned Personnel Dynamics Consulting of Fort Pierce to calculate turnover rates, growth percentages, employee development spending, promotion percentages, insurance packages and retirement plans; a total of 37 different measurements to determine the St. Lucie County’s Best Places To Work.
