Direct Energy Announces Appointment Of Andy Hunt As Vice President And General Manager, Business Services

Toronto, ON (6/20/2011) - Rob Comstock, Senior Vice President, Direct Energy, Canada Services today announced the appointment of Andy Hunt to serve as Vice President and General Manager of Business Services; a part of Direct Energy's Services business. Hunt brings more than 20years of business experience to Direct Energy, most recently serving as President & Chief Operating Officer with Day & Ross Transportation Group in New Brunswick.

While at Day & Ross Transportation, Hunt was instrumental in the creation of an enhanced customer-centric culture; implementation of commercial strategies geared to maximize overall growth; and, introduction of the Lean Sigma leadership methodology which promoted innovative process and structure tailored to maximize efficiencies, productivity and performance.

Previously, Hunt served as President, GE Commercial Finance in Toronto, President, CitiCorp Capital Fleet - which was later acquired by GE Capital - also in Toronto, and Group Vice President, Sales and Marketing with AT&T Capital - later acquired by Citicorp Capital. Hunt's non-executive roles include serving as a Board of Directors member for the Atlantic Province Trucking Association and the Canadian Finance and Lease Association. Hunt also served as a member of the GE Business Leaders Council's Canadian President's Council Toronto and as Peel Region Leader for the United Way.
